Nothing is neutral. Every decision we make and every action we take moves us closer to success or failure.

3 Proven Ways to Succeed in Any New Endeavour

When I was a young Boy Scout (several years ago) I remember going out camping on a cold bitter night with my troop. My scout leader had us play rock paper scissors for the one who would start the camp fire for the night.

I always seemed to be the one to lose the game time after time (I guess sub-consciously I was a fire-starter even then).

I would go out hunting and searching for the special rocks needed to start the fire, I would then look for the dry sticks and leaves needed. After I found the necessary supplies needed I would put everything together in a specific order to start the fire.

I remember one specific person in my troop named Shawn, who thought his only job was to doubt publically everything I was not doing right to start the fire.

I would tell every member of my troop to leave me alone for a few minutes and when they come back it would be a fire waiting fire them.

The discipline it took to start the flame out of those supplies I found in the forest are the same discipline it takes to succeed in any new endeavor:

#1: You must want to start the fire. Like I said sub-consciously even then I was a fire-starter) you do not start your flame to succeed by someone else telling you to start the flame. You must want to start it.

#2: You must go in search for the right tools needed to help you start the fire. The flame was not going to start if I would have sat down and sang fun songs all night. You must find the right supplies (Books, Coaching Programs, Mastermind Groups, and Audio CD’s) to execute the results you expect.

#3: You must expect for the outcome to be what you want it to be. I was not sitting in the cold hoping and wishing for a fire, I expected it to happen. So many times in life we hope for things only to not get the end result we want. I figured out a long time ago. “You do not get out of life what you want you get out of life what you expect.”
